CHINAPLAS 2016, the 30th edition of Asia's No. 1 and world's No.2 plastics and rubber trade show, grandly kicks off at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. Reaching its milestone, the show features new theme zones and concurrent events at record-setting scale-more than 3,300 exhibitors are showing some 3,800 sets of machinery and other innovations in an area of 240,000 sq.

A truly international event

The exhibits originated from 40 countries and regions around the world. According to the show's organizer, Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd., about 32% of all exhibitors joined from the outside of China, while about 14% are participating for the first time. There are 13 international pavilions, including those of Austria, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, USA and so on. It is expected that more than 140,000 plastic industry will come to visit the show this year. A truly international event for the plastics and rubber industry!

"Greenovation for a Smart Future"

Chinese plastics and rubber industry, like other Chinese manufacturing industries, are undergoing upgrading and transformation to meet the new era of intelligent production. To support the manufacturing sector in meeting the challenges ahead, China has announced the "Made in China 2025" strategic plan.

Keeping pace with the innovation of China's manufacturing sector-from being a world factory to a veteran user and innovator of advanced technology, CHINAPLAS has put on a new theme-"Greenovation for a Smart Future", which sums up the current trend of applying innovative, green technologies in intelligent production.

In addition, an "Industry 4.0 Conference" will be held on Day 2 and 3 for enterprises targeting an upgrade of their plants. The conference will explain the concepts and practical solutions of intelligent production, as well as the effective ways to operate a smart factory.
